I feel your pain Teresa. I'm afraid to see what pops up every year! Just keep battling and you will eventually get the upper hand.

In reply to <a href="https://acrelife.com/update-to-my-sandbur-battle#comment-299">Jason</a>.

We have definitely seen an improvement in the areas that we focused on last year. The front yard and side slope didn’t have any stickers this year which is a minor victory. We extended the back yard fence before we had a chance to really get rid of the stickers so we still had to pull some (about two 5 gallon buckets worth). This year we mainly focused on the chicken run area. Since we can’t spray in there we just pulled the stickers and went over it with the sticker picker. We missed the window to spray Pastora this year but the plan is to get as many of the dropped seeds up in the next few weeks as we can with the sticker picker. My best advice is to keep your acreage mowed often to reduce the number of seeds and spray Pastora if possible. Then pull or remove the stickers as you see them. Good luck and stay vigilant!

Curious to know how your results have been this year? We’re on ~10 acres in Boerne, TX area and being a noob to living on acreage I can see we’re stuck in analysis paralysis about making a decision about how to address. Reading your post is motivating and has been a big help for us to establish a plan.
